I can celebrate the new year with a bath.  Since my last post I have stripped off the old tiles, performed some remedial work on the decrepit and decaying sub-strata and re-tiled with pristine, white tiles. The joints have been grouted and all that remains is to seal round the edge with some of that silicon sealer that you spread with your finger, and smells like vinegar while it is drying.

To complete the project a lick of paint is needed. I shall include, somewhere in the room, a vignette, a small trompe l’oeil to tease the occasional visitor.

My work colleagues will, no doubt, be pleased that I can bathe before tomorrow’s resumption of normal service.
