Read ‘Dead End’ on the More scratchings … page
Every month on the Writers’ News ‘Talkback’ forum there is a ‘One Word Challenge’ (OWC). One word is chosen and the challenge is to write either a poem of 40 lines or less, or a piece of prose of not more than 200 words – flash fiction – inspired by that word.
February’s OWC was ‘Fresh’. Ten poems and 14 prose entries were submitted, each with its own take on the challenge word. As usual the judging was detailed and comments were constructive.
I was surprised and pleased to have been chosen as this month’s winner, from such a talented group. You can read my entry, Dead End, on the More scratchings … page of this blog.
My challenge next month, is to judge the prose entries of March’s OWC. The word is ‘Ink‘ – why don’t you have a go – join the Talkback forum.
