The Porthole project is making slow progress. But it is progress.
The design has been sketched on and the tropical island has made an appearance. Two steps forward, and one back, the satin finish to the walls is not the best to paint on. Because it was applied with a roller it has a dimpled surface. These dimples make accurate outlines and colour blending difficult.
Added to that the silky surface needs to be keyed for better adhesion. So not much to show at present, and with the lure of pen and ink, I don’t spend enough time on task.
The newsletters are finished, but there is flash fiction to submit … I must, I must get painting… but writing is such fun.
