It’s all very well reading the stuff on these pages, but who is responsible for it?
Me, K. Patrick Moody. I live in Hampshire, UK, with my wife and family. During my long and varied career I have worked in public utilities, the motor industry, public security, local government, and arts and crafts. (There have been others, but not worth a mention here).
I edit a newsletter, The Decorative Folk Artist, and have had articles published in Spiritualist publications, scootering magazines and on the internet. I enter writing competitions, usually for flash fiction. My favourites are Inspiration Monday, on the Bekindrewrite blog, and the Writers Online Talkback forum’s monthly One Word Challenge. I’ve had a couple of successes, but mostly I just enjoy the challenge.
Watch out for the One Word Challenge Anthology, a collection of flash fiction gathered from the Writers Online Talkback Forum (including mine, of course), published in 2013. Available in ebook, and real paper for the traditional reader.
I’ve written two novels, each was completed in the National Novel Writers’ Month (NaNoWriMo). Both now need to be edited in readiness for submission.
I hope you enjoy examples of my fiction and non-fiction elsewhere in this blog. Please post a comment and tell me what you think.

The headline originates in Edward Fitzgerald’s translation of the poem The Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyam, 1859:
The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ,
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.
