It’s not often that I feel that I must publicly praise something, I am more likely to have a moan. Well, when you get to a certain age …
But tonight we went, for the third time, to a new restaurant in Southampton and enjoyed a wonderful meal, in most pleasant surroundings, with attentive, yet unobtrusive, staff.
Casanova is in Queensway, Southampton, right opposite the large Debenhams store.
The menu is extensive with a large and varied choice of seafood dishes, as well as meat, pasta, and pizza.

Our order arrived in good time, with an appropriate pause between courses, and was hot and attractively presented. They say a meal is consumed twice, once with the eyes, and again when eaten. Casanova’s presentation is as appealing as the taste.
After three visits, each with food and service of the same quality, I recommend you try it. The trip to Southampton is worth it, just for Casanova, alone.
During the evening there is parking available along Queensway, although this may be busier at weekends. If you smile and say I sent you, you may even get 10% the total bill (evenings only).
